Today has been a good day.
I made it to my lecture. I had a meeting with one of my dissertation supervisors and it all seems to be going well. I got a cheque for £50 from my great aunt. I lost 1.5lb this week at Slimming World =D (Which means I’m 1lb away from 2 stone!) The sun is shining and it’s been such a nice day weatherwise. And I’m going home tomorrow for the weekend!! =D It’s days like...

theissing: rinnsohma: At the counsellors today she seemed to keep going back to the theory that my IBS stems from my depression during sixth form, which I’ve always thought since it started not long after, but that I’m some how still clinging onto thoughts and behaviours from sixth form which is why my IBS still acts… I am glad that we have helped you so much rinn! So I just finished reading Wideacre, by Philippa Gregory, and it was one of those books that gave me really conflicting emotions. Spoilers in the next bit: On one hand I found myself despising Beatrice for everything she did, and she made me so angry with her narcissism - constantly referring to herself as beautiful and talking about her ‘lovely body’. But as the book progressed, I...

At the counsellors today she seemed to keep going back to the theory that my IBS stems from my depression during sixth form, which I’ve always thought since it started not long after, but that I’m some how still clinging onto thoughts and behaviours from sixth form which is why my IBS still acts up. I don’t know. I’m a completely different person from how I was then, thank...

So I was on Mapcrunch, ended up somewhere in the English countryside, looked like the north to me. I got bored of wandering the lanes, so revealed my location but it wouldn’t appear! I remember seeing some place names when I came to a junction, and one of them was Longnewton, but I went the opposite way. Googled Longnewton which is apparently in Co. Durham, and Wiki told me this:...

Just made some mint and Oreo ice cream, suitable for Slimming World =) Mixed up four Mint Mullerlights with two crushed Oreos and froze it. The whole thing comes to 5 syns I think (Oreos are 2.5 each) and it made about 750g. Can’t wait to try it! I wanted to add something to the Mullers and had some Oreos in my cupboard - plus it means less syns than using chocolate chips or something.

This is good progress - I just ate the chocolate I got for Valentine’s Day, a bar of Dairy Milk, and I feel REALLY full. I was saving it for tonight so I’d have longer to work it off ;) Before being on Slimming World, I would’ve polished that size bar off no problem, even the bigger ones would have been easy to eat all of, and still wanted more!

Another 1/2lb off
A bit disappointed. I did have a pizza and some chocolate on Sunday, but I avoided syns and exercised for the rest of the week. I’m hoping it’s also down to IBS - it’s particularly bad today =/ 2.5lbs to go until my 2 stone, I just want to finally hit it! In other news I finished my dissertation draft this morning. It’s due in tomorrow, and I don’t really know what...

Just doing research for an essay on Rome’s provinces, and I find the idea of ‘accidental imperialism’ pretty funny - ‘Oops, we seem to have gained ourselves an empire’
